Academy Mortgage was a highly professional team on the sales side with the management team regarding operations in a high regard.

Cons

An extreme lack of professionalism with some the operations team as well as high degree of nepotism.

Pros

This is a company that really cares about employees and the communities around them. Recently the company president hired a renowned personal trainer to come in and help the company with increasing fitness and well-being. The company is also very involved in communities and does so not as a marketing method, but instead as a real attempt to make a difference. The president of the company is honestly one of the most genuine people I've ever met. He genuinely wants Academy to be the best and employ the best. It was an honor to work for this company.

Cons

Growth in certain departments at company headquarters are limited to former loan officers. There is a belief that you cannot support, train or recruit loan officers unless you are or have been a loan officer yourself. The company is losing very valuable employees because of this.

Great company that truly cares about the employees and the community. I have never worked for a company that sticks to their commitment to support their sales force as they do.

Cons

Every company has challenges on occasion. They continue to work on them to improve.
