      Pros

      Great coworkers, excellent equipment, relatively good maintenance, good pay, good schedules available.

      Cons

      Too much focus on the almighty dollar. Employees are required to get billing information before treating patients in most cases. The patient care suffers because the management places more emphasis on making money than on keeping up to date with medical technology. ambulance crews are overworked due to management reducing the number of trucks on the road to "save money". Management is seriously out of touch with field staff and refuses to make an attempt at connection.

      Consistent Schedule (12 hr 2-2-3 rotation) Working Equipment Good Reputation throughout region Decent Dispatchers...usually

      Cons

      Supervisors too busy running calls to get anything done Use personal cell phone as method of communication and always texting/calling for overtime Does not follow their own rules if it is inconvenient Vacation accrued at set rate/yr (as opposed to being based off hours worked) Shifts are assigned, not bid on Does not work around school schedules without being on "flex" (As needed, with little notice) Constantly altering shifts according to anticipated call volume Management constantly changing

      Pros

      Large company with many options if you are tired of working on an ambulance. If you like a very structured corporate environment, this might be a good fit for you. They offer semi competitive pay in areas where they haven't purchased all of the competition.

      Cons

      No loyalty toward the employees, even though they expect total allegiance. They'll fire people just to save $0.12. The company swoops in and buys other companies and leaves them with less than enough resources to function, expecting everything and giving nothing.
