Pros

The absolute best thing about working at Acadian is that it is 100% employee owned. You don't have to work until you are in your 70's to retire, and enjoy life. Before Acadian I had no benefits. Now I have vacation/sick time, health insurance, vision, dental, etc. I also feel valued, and there is potential for growth.

Cons

Some people expect to come to work and prop their feet up all day like the fire dept. When you come to work they do expect you to work. Shocking, right? It isn't overwhelming. Around 4 calls in 12 hours ain't bad.

Pros

Competitive pay with raises every year of at least $1 extra per hour. Health benefits are affordable and good. Employee owned stock that the company gives you. I have been with Acadian for 12 years and the company has given me over 1k shares with the possibility of retiring at 30 years with a million in stocks.

Cons

Protocols could be more aggressive. Sprinters instead of class A ambulances.

Mostly just employees always complaining about the company. I didn't experience many issues except with scheduling and trying to get to part-time.
