I have been pleasantly surprised when I started working with Acadian. The administration is definitely employee focused and want each person to be successful. The salary is fair and raises are in line with my expectations.

Cons

Long commute to work. Communication with outlying stations can be slow or absent.

- great place to start as an EMT - really great partners/passionate staff - saw a lot of emergenct calls - great intro

Cons

- hire anyone with a pulse, not enough vetting - scheduling from managers is a mess - will push for BLS/transport calls because that is where the money is - dispatch is a mess
