Pros

-Flexible Time Off -Experienced/Strong CTO and VP of Engineering (as of the last 8-12 months) -Strong IT leadership (as of the last 8-12 months)

Cons

One of the least professional companies I’ve worked in: -frequent and not well planned layoffs (e.g. critical positions are laid off only to bring them back for more money, unclear financials causing repeat layoff actions in a relatively short period of time) -vendors not getting paid on time. Not jut weeks but months late. Many failed commitments in this area. Some vendors have adjusted how they do business with Accela . -significant cash flow problem, but may have been fixed by the recent sale of the business to a private investor -started with a great pool of talent, retention is now a problem -HR manages perception rather than root cause and meaningful fixes (e.g. “Great Place to Work” on email signatures-Do your own research.

Pros

Close commute for EB residents. Free Lunches several days a week. Nice facility. A lot of smart, nice people.

Cons

No appetite to improve processes, controls and implement "Best Practices". Growth plans based on unrealistic expectations. Lakes focused leadership with M&A and integration plan. Old CEO raised large amounts of capital giving away company with very little actually hitting B/S. Resulting in management now focused on getting company sold to recoup investment. Executive team making decisions to eliminate acquired company staff date with no focus on integration and if surviving employees have time or resources to pick up existing staff. Gives away revenue trying to generate cash. No discipline in Sales, give away the store and manage to get commissioned anyway.
