Pros

Good pay. Coworkers are supportive and team work is great. Job tends to be rewarding; patients and families are usually lovely. Doctors are very nice, supportive and responsive. Opportunities for making extra money if willing to.

Cons

Poor work-life balance. Poor management that does not listen to employees - they require more work over time but won’t provide enough resources and won’t lower your case-load. Case-loads tend to be high at times (most of the time). On-call twice monthly and very busy - you will be in the field all day long doing routine visit and answering to multiple phone calls.

Pros

Pay is commensurate with national average for position. There is opportunity for nurses to move up into management positions.

Cons

Company is disorganized clinical managers provide little guidance due to lack of know-how. Systems are antiquated and cumbersome. At the branch level, this is a nurse managers club. There is little opportunity for advancement for non nursing staff, despite higher levels of education/credentials/experience. This company toots its own horn about being the most diverse company. On the contrary, there is a predominance of opportunities for nurses, females, and minority employees. There are less opportunities for advancement for others that fall outside of those parameters.

Pros

It is an honor to serve patients and families at the end of life providing comfort, support, and compassion. They do have thorough training.

Cons

Aggressive pursuit of medicare. For profit organization that puts the dollar before patient care. Unrealistic expectations of time and work/life balance. Unresponsive HR. Permits top down bullying and retaliation. We used to have an excellent office culture and reputation. Now you seem desperate and dysfunctional
