Pros

Decent Benefits and a 6% 401K match.

Cons

This company is very disorganized and is in a state of flux right now. Unfortunately, there seems to be a culture of "don't tell dad" here. Local leadership will not or cannot make serious recommendations to improve patient care and employee experience for fear of being targeted as a "squeaky wheel". Consequently there are multiple systemic problems that affect quality and patient care. They seem to be trying to implement new technologies to improve things but they are too Data driven up top. They aren't interested in finding out the dynamics of what their employees are doing and what their patients are experiencing. This forces them to be very census driven rather than being driven to build a sustainable program built on quality outcomes for patients. There are also very few opportunities for career growth if you're not an RN.

Nightmare workplace

Pros

Working with seniors and advocating for people with disabilities is important and can be rewarding

Cons

Accentcare demolished the positive culture that Fairview Home Care and hospice had going. The acquisition was process full of unfulfilled promises and dishonest communication, a complete overhaul of company structure, processes, and productivity expectations. Morale amongst clinicians has Tanked and turnover has been outrageous, with leadership failing to acknowledge what's going on. Employees feel like they are not valued. Concerns raised to leadership go without responses or acknowledgement. There are extremely unethical practices with regards to ensuring payment for services that may not be appropriate for patients. The company is not forthcoming about being owned by a global private equity firm. Money is what drives this ship 100%. Productivity expectations are Beyond manageable and there is no emphasis on work/ life balance. Changes happen abruptly, often without explanation. Remaining clinicians feel overworked and abused and devalued while new hires are celebrated because of desperate need for Staffing. Productivity expectations are unmanageable and patient experience is no longer a driver of service. This company's attempt to expand into the Midwest territory has been a ridiculous failure, a sinking ship that no one is willing to acknowledge. People with 10, 20, 30 years of experience are leaving, sometimes with no replacement job because of all of this and overall health of clinicians is tanking. No signing bonus is worth this horrible employee experience.
