Pros

Lot's of work to be done. Paid alright wage of $30 and hour after a lot of negotiations.

Cons

Management is absolutely horrible. They don't want thinkers they want followers. A very small group of people make all the decisions. They lie about most of the things that go on here from the age of the machines to promises to employees. I was recruited to come work here and then after six months fired over the phone just stating that things were not working out and then had to pay back the relocation money they gave me to come here and work for them. I gave them (1) star only because I had to if you are looking at relocating I would advise against it.

We do pay relocation benefits to any qualified candidate who interested in advancing his/her career with a company that has an outstanding reputation for quality and performance. Along with high pay (as recognized above), great benefits and superior growth potential Acero Precision should be considered a great landing spot whether you live in Houston or Havertown. It is not best practice or economically practical to terminate anyone over the phone especially an employee recruited from out-of-state. The circumstances would have to be extraordinary for something like this to happen.

Pros

I don't have to work weekends, in fact no one does because there is nothing to do. I can only empty the trash so many times...I feel my community college degree is underutilized.

Cons

Disgruntled employees, average worker is only here a few months, all employee perks have been taken away, owner tries to run the company himself and is flushing it down the tubes, construction project which bankrupted us, over-head costs have tripled to allow a lavish lifestyle for mgmt, company benz's are a little too much

“Stronger than Ever” Prior to Covid (2020) Acero grew 24% from the date of this predication. The company has not ever had a year in the Red and we are anything but bankrupt, including the year of Covid. In 2020 we replaced 11 machines with new models and spent 4 Million on new equipment and infrastructure. Our benefits have grown, not decreased. We are unable to confirm that an actual HR employee held this position during this timeframe. The presentation of these facts is not correct. The facility looks great (check us out on Instagram) and the company’s leadership is as strong as ever. We hope to continue on the same path.

Pros

- Clean Bathrooms - Nice Location

Cons

Acero Precision is a great place to watch your career whither away and die. To say the work place atmosphere is toxic would be an understatement. On the bright side you will have the opportunity to quickly advance through the ranks if you have any remote skill in the manufacturing field. Granted, this is because Acero cannot attract literally any new competent talent(they have no clue what such an individual is worth) and those above you will inevitably grow tired of dealing with narcissistic ownership and the wildly underqualified, over-entitled supervisors and management they deal with on a daily basis. Acero Precision's internal motto is 'Whatever it Takes', when in reality it should be 'Overpromise, Underdeliver, and Mislead.' I was enticed to take a position here by a nice incentive program, paying bonus's potentially monthly, and a state of the art building with a cafe and a gym. Well, the incentive program quickly stopped and disappeared, without even a 'Sorry, we cant afford this anymore'. But hey, the owner has a nice Aston Martin, and a Lamborghini, maybe seeing those can be your incentive. Forget about the gym, that will never exist, but there's a nice shower in the locker room to wash the Acero stink off yourself everyday. If you look this place up on social media do not be fooled by the images. Those pretty walls are filled with tired, crashed, beat up, old, and unreliable machines. Better keep them clean and shiny though, or ownership will come and talk to you like a child and complain there's some oil on them... in a machine shop. In the 8 months since I've left Acero I have learned and developed more as a manufacturing engineer, and been invested in more by ownership than I ever would have at Acero. Do yourself the favor and avoid Acero Precision, any aspirations you have for a fulfilling and gratifying career will thank you later.

“Shiny on the outside, judge for yourself on the inside” Acero Precision is not “a machine shop”. Acero is a state of the art, medical device manufacturing facility which must follow ISO 13485 rules and procedures. Our ability to maintain our certifications is one of many factors which drive our resolve. “Sloppy” is toxic to our operation and we work hard to eliminate it every day. And yes, the social media accounts of the shop are both outstanding, accurate, and developed through the eyes of two employees not an outside PR firm. Construction projects on the scale that is envisioned for Acero Precision are not accomplished overnight and every employee can see the progress being made to achieve these goals for both customers and the workforce. Since 2017, we have replaced approximately 30% (12) of all machines in the shop at an $3.5m investment level. This was the investment in capital equipment alone and does not include the infrastructure, tooling and software. When you check out our posts on Instagram and Facebook you can see for yourself. In addition to requiring our machines and the surrounding work areas to be kept clean and safe and ‘as new’, we do strive for our employees to look professional when they come to work. We supply everything from hats, belts, pants, shoes, shirts, sweaters, ¼ zip pullovers, and jackets at the company’s cost. Some people do not think that respect for equipment, the team, and each other is important. We do, and all of us even take a pledge to instill it into everything we do. More than the traditional “lip service” that we support our employees - we financially invest in our employees through tuition reimbursement, internships, and specialized certification programs. We offer to pay off student loans until they are 100% paid down to zero. These programs have not stopped and will continue to expand. Finally, there is a world of difference between “management is underqualified” and “I don’t want to be held accountable.” The difference can also be defined by those who just want a paycheck and qualified, ambitious men and women who want a career. In 2020, two more employees celebrated ten years of service as manufacturing engineers. Positions they achieved as a result of working at Acero Precision through hard work, dedication and a substantial investment of time and money by ownership. Acero has never had a year where we were not ‘in the black’ so that statement is simply inaccurate. We invite those that would like to see the operation and meet our staff 1st hand to email us at PeopleOps@aceroprecision.com to arrange a tour. Acero Leadership Team
