Mediocrity in Aisle 5

Pros

Big company, mileage reimbursement, no required weekend work

Cons

Sub-par pay, no raises EVER, heavy on white-male personnel with all the racist, homophobic, misogynistic viewpoints one might expect. Hard work and pride in one's work are not valued here. I once called my supervisor's attention to something I did that was above and beyond expectations, and all he said to me was, "You want me to throw you a party or something?" Lastly, I've been here 5 years now and I have yet to have a performance review.

Some glaring issues

Business Outlook

Pros

Flexible schedule, mediocre benefits, ability to advance with hardwork. I loved this company until I left and realize I was in what might as well have been an abusive relationship ha!

Cons

Pay issues at the company, raises were given to meet minimum wage standards. Team members are not compensated fairly for work or mileage management and associates are paid wildly varying salaries Wage increases are hard to come by. Management does not respect their ground level employees. Field team is always running on fumes. Minimal recognition. Extremely minimal diversity.

Pros

Not a lot of Micromanaging, work life balance, work team.

Cons

Told in Interview there were annual raises, bonus system was taken away 2.5-3 years in, if you grow a product line by 25% or even 50% managers are told to say good job you are doing your job. Year reviews used to be 4 or 4.5 out of 5 rating....upper level management said there shouldn't be any 4's or 5's, there should only be 3's or lower because everyone should be doing their job and thats growing sales...you do not get what you are told in interview process, and after so many years at Acosta, they have lowered employee benefits, phone allowances down, and car allowances down. CRM tool is ancient and developed by Acosta entities. I get that it is still COVID times, but these things were going on before COVID hit. Last thing is there is no room to move within the company, even when you reach out about new roles or upward movement.
