Pros

Opportunity to make a good amount of money if you don’t care about having any work life balance and work nonstop, 12+ hours a day and weekends.

Cons

Very politically based culture, you either drink the “kool aid” or get passed up for promotions by people who are in no way qualified but get promoted because they suck up to upper management, zero work life balance, toxic work environment, they choose to let some staff get away with things such as being late or having flexibility to leave early (because they are drinking the kool aid) and not others, if you push back on the people in management they’ll find a way to fire you out of retaliation (even a multi winning million dollar club contest winner) because they’re so toxic and don’t like women being strong in the work place. You get treated like a little kid. They prey on new grads or young professionals who have no idea what an actual professional and non toxic work environment is like with promises of money and success. The turnover is so high that 90% of their staff is there for less than a year except for the people in higher up positions who DRINK THE KOOLAID (anyone who has worked here knows how much this phrase should be emphasized).

Pros

No pros at all. You get paid? Is that a pro?

Cons

Just to name a few cons because there’s too many to mention. The work environment is full of harassment and horrible leadership. The leaders in the office are straight out of colleague with no prior work experience or they’ve been there forever. No diversity in thought or experience. They are all a joke. They don’t welcome new staff but intimidate and offer no support. So many people have come and gone. Revolving door of trauma. The office has an excessive amount of toxicity. Everyone’s miserable except for a select few who do whatever they want, including hand feeding their favorites with roles/accounts or never coming into the office with a mandatory 5 days in office model. Everyone else is miserable and actively interviewing, just waiting for an opportunity to leave. Horrible experience for anyone, let alone someone eager to break into recruiting or account management. The company is stuck in the past. Unbelievable to think an organization operates like this and hasn’t been sued or shut down. I can not express enough how horrible it is to work there. Your mental health will suffer!

Pros

You have the opportunity to make money if you work very long hours. The people (other recruiters/sales) are awesome - the only thing that made the job bearable.

Cons

Benefits are terrible. You’ll be expected to work (at a minimum) 55 hours/week, and if you even think about leaving before 5:30pm, everyone stares at you. Work/life balance is non-existent. They do a good job of making you think they’re the only company that you can make money at. I know plenty of people that left for other jobs that pay way more, and questioned why they stayed for so long (hint: it’s because of the first sentence in this paragraph). During my time, they changed our salary 3 times in less than 3 years. They dropped our base pay 10k, then backtracked when everyone started leaving. It resulted in less pay for working ridiculous hours. People are fired all the time. When things are going well, you’re treated well, when things aren’t going well, you’ll constantly be worried about being fired because you’ll see people getting fired all around you. In my first month, I saw 4 peers get fired. If you take PTO, be sure you’re doing well. If you’re not, you’ll be asked “are you sure you should be taking PTO?” Also, expect to be working and not enjoying the time off. I took trips and found myself taking calls throughout the day - getting bad news that really helps you to relax on vacation.
