Pros

Action puts a ton of money into the equipment and the vans. They never give out. It’s SOP to check everything before we go out for the day and if we find that anything isn’t working, we immediately report it to get it fixed or replaced. I’ve never been out on a call where something I needed was missing or didn’t work.

Cons

For everything we do and how taxing it is emotionally, mentally, and physically, we should be paid more.

Can’t say I have any complaints so far. The work is exciting when we get a call, and when we don’t it’s a lot of sitting around and hanging out with my coworkers until a call comes in. I guess it wouldn’t be as fun if I didn’t like my coworkers. But they’re all great, so that’s not an problem.

Cons

At first it felt weird to sit around and just wait for an emergency call to come through. Almost like sitting in a basement in the Midwest and waiting to be told the hurricane is directly overhead. You know it’s coming, you’re just not sure when. It gave me an eerie feeling in my body. I got used to it eventually, but man it was weird for the first few months.
