A tough job but it’s well worth it

Pros

Not the easiest job but it’s worth it at the end of the day. You get to help people on a regular basis (even if you’re just doing your job). Plus the camaraderie I’ve built with my colleagues is something I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. I feel well supported by management. I know they have my best interests at heart.

Cons

Tough skin is a requirement in EMS. You have to be willing to roll with the punches.

I’m not going to pretend this is the best job in the world but hey, I’m enjoying myself thus far. In the past year alone I’ve experienced all sorts of unique situations that I never saw myself doing while I was still in school. Never a dull moment.

Cons

Training could definitely be better.
