Variety of pros/cons

Pros

Great people. Company culture supports living healthy lifestyle by offering ACTIVEx exercise classes/groups/programs. Great internal HR training - ACTIVE U offers trainings on different skills/certifications; LDP, VTL are great programs. PTO - 3 weeks starting up to 5 weeks after been at the company for 4 years. Jon Belmonte seems like a great fit for CEO - he has come in and is taking a hard look at the business to determine where resources should be allocated and is focusing on the initiatives that generate the highest ROI.

Cons

Compensation! HR provided competitive market salaries and we are either below the range or at the bottom. ACTIVE will never attract/retain high quality employees this way. ACTIVEx is not offered/funded in every office, so San Diego (HQ) employees experience the most perks. Different departments have different accountability of strictness around cost cutting/saving.

Not Transparent

Pros

Company culture is fantastic, your colleagues become lifelong friends, ACTIVE X leaves you with no excuse to skip working out, the clients we work with are passionate, enthusiastic people.

Cons

The management is unqualified, and the biggest issue I have is their absolute lack of transparency. You don't know what you're getting paid, and once you do get paid, you have no idea what that commission is made up of. If you have any kind of bonus for a employee referral, that is managed by someone other than the person managing your commissions, etc. You shouldn't need to go through 9 people to get an answer regarding your pay, and then still not be satisfied with the answer.

Pros

Compensation is average to good, but does not make up for the negative culture and management.

Cons

Disjointed, chaotic, adversarial, bully management
