Pros

Great pay. Free gym to use at Lake Mary location. Some management and employees are passionate and were a joy to work with.

Cons

Company is more focused on bringing in more revenue than focused on their own members. Employees are only rewarded when they bring in money or have saved the company money in some way. If your job does not involve one of these two tasks, you will never be recognized. The issue with CFE is the management- starting from the top. Upper executives put extreme pressure on the management team they are over. Most are cocky and unprofessional and have no idea what is really going on in the company. This causes back office and branch management to put the same pressure on back office and branch employees. Managers did tell our department more than one occasion that they were sorry so much was required of us and also apologized for not being able to recognize our work, but that they had the same issue and pressures from their management. Most management had zero leadership skills. They do not lead from example. Most management admittedly did not even know how to perform their department's job duties and then would once a year harshly critique their performance. Receiving feedback on your job duties only once a year when it was time to determine your raise is not acceptable. I made a mistake when I worked for CFE. I completely burned myself out giving every second and ounce to the company. I skipped breaks, stayed late, did more than my job title required, and did all my work plus more. My critique when I quit the company was that I did too much. I was honestly marked down on my review for doing too much. This kept me from a raise after killing myself for the year. Quitting CFE was the best professional move I had ever made. When I was hired in, employees told me to CYA. That advice was so valuable. Save every email. Get everything in writing. At CFE, a conversation that wasn't recorded didn't happen. Management and employees can and will play ignorant to get out of any situation. HR at CFE is not your friend. They are there to protect the company not the employees. They have absolutely no interest in the employees. Also, HR does not negotiate enough with insurance companies. Insurance costs went up every year. HR will also hound you constantly if you don't join into health insurance or retirement planning. CFE does not fire employees. They simply bully and devalue employees until they quit. Overall, CFE is just such a shame. There is so much potential and so many good employees (if they haven't quit already) that could make the company a great place to work.

Pros

Clean restrooms and trash emptied daily.

Cons

Cliques and backstabbing management define the culture here. If you are a two-faced, pretentious brown-nose this might be the perfect employer for you. If you are determined to succeed on the merit of your knowledge, experience and hard work, look elsewhere. The prevailing philosophy of management is "divide and conquer." Lots of pressure to refer members to the outside financial services firm that charges high commissions on investment "products."

Pros

Great with product knowledge. They strive for exceptional service. Invest in providing training for costumer service

Cons

Unfair when it comes to promoting.Promotion is based on who likes you or who you are friends with, not work ethics or production. Especially when it comes to African Americans they are constantly overlooked and not treated fairly. CFE has over 450 employees and on two branch managers are African Americans and one as st branch manager. She has applied so many times and have been declined . Modern day slave masters. They also force their employees to vote for them.
