Good place to gain case management skills

Pros

Great PTO, mileage reimbursement, paid for on call time. Great co-workers that work hard and support each other.

Cons

Insane amount of paperwork, it sometimes feels as if that is more important than providing therapy to families. NO work life balance- therapists are always working- so much documentation, reports, etc. It never ends. If a family cancels a session and the therapist can't get the family to reschedule another weekday, the expectation is that the therapist will schedule sessions on weekends, even if it is a holiday weekend. In order to do this job, a therapist has to have excellent time management skills.

Pros

It pays more than working at Burger King. You can accrue an amazing amount of vacation time if you stick around long enough. They make a reasonable effort to provide some sort of health insurance for full-time staff.

Cons

Huge disconnect between line staff and management. Culture appreciates a certain amount of friction between staff. Frequent changes to titles without additional compensation.
