if company assigned to decides to downsize employees, there are no options regarding employment even though you are an ARO employee.

Pros

You mostly get left alone and you really don't have to worry about ever being fired. Local managers are good but rarely last long.

Cons

No opportunities for advancement, limited availability of necessary tools, clueless mid-level management, bad contract negotiation = no funds availability.
