Comfortable and convenient, but stressful at times.
Pros
Convenient: Work schedule is convenient for the most part. 2 off days a week and only work until 2 on Saturdays. PTO for full time employees as well as floating holidays. Can take tome off to handle personal business if needed. Comfortable : Work isn't overly strenuous, even a little monotonous. Can get into a comfortable routine pretty quickly. Office atmosphere is great of you get along with your coworkers as there are usually 2 to 3 people staffed at every store. Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match, employee assistance
Cons
Understaffed: Not enough employees per work load ratio. Oftentimes the higher ups require more than what is physically possible for 2 or 1 person to handle in a days time. Direct supervisor unprofessionalism: Most supervisors are great, very helpful, compassionate and understanding, however, some of them have a high level of unprofessionalism. Will throw you under the bus at any given moment and are downright power hungry. Too many irons in the fire: Instead of focusing on one or two products and excelling in them,the company, in an effort to stay relevant have 5-7 products that they push. The problem is that the employees are not all qualified to meet expectations yet are expected to push all products and meet all lofty goals set by Corporate. If they fail to meet said goals, they are written up or fired. Not enough incentives for work required: Bonus structures are almost impossible to obtain. Praise comes few and far in between, yet what you're doing wrong is spotlighted. No avenues to boost company morale. Hard to get a promotion, and if one you don't necessarily want comes along, you better take it as another may or may not be offered to you. Even if it might put your career with the company in jeopardy.
