Pros

Depending on the job, all you do is go to meeting to discuss others meetings. No real work ever getting done.

Cons

Management is not very cost effective. They waste so much time and money by not working together. It is impossible to get anything done. Too much red tape to get anything done.

Pros

Pay is good if you aren't afraid to negotiate. Tools and technology and still impressive but getting outdated and unsupported fast.

Cons

Management is terrible, it's like they are all looking to make a quick buck and they constantly fight with each other and are not truthful to employees. The company's business is going down the tubes and it makes for a very stressful environment. You'll have zero free time and management breathing down your neck. Plus having this company on your resume is a big stain. And your friends and neighbors will not be proud of you for being a loan shark.

Pros

I've been lucky enough to work with a very good team. The manager that I work with is fantastic. The benefit package is very good, though I would like to see them add an option for profit sharing. The company has taken a closer interest in employee input and job satisfaction in recent years, which I find very encouraging. Employee education, career and personal developments seem to have become more important to the company. It seems they are concerned about keeping and retaining well rounded employees as well as making the effort to be a positive force behind employees moving on to other opportunities.

Cons

Demand from our director for performance is high. Pressure to meet all the expectations has brought down morale. Perfection is an expected goal and seems to be looked upon as completely attainable. The expectations seem to exceed the reality of what is physically possible. These pressures make it difficult to relax when not at work because we (the manager and I) are in a constant state of review. Continually reviewing our individual performance and team performance and how we can improve so that we can meet our directors expectation. Each step forward on one aspect seems to take us a half step back on something else. The frustration has us both evaluating if we can stay with the company much longer. I must say that recent change in our local leadership has us off balance and I'm not sure it's possible to get the balance back. This is very unfortunate for us and the company, because I believe that the combined experience of 15+ years in this field and geographical area that my manager and I have is worth retaining and respecting. Keeping a healthy level of pressure on is good and can result in meeting goals not previously thought attainable. However, too much pressure on the main supports a building (core employees) will result in eventual collapse and the structure generally will never again see it's previous glory.
