Pros

The pros have been dropping off fast since my start date. The company used to be great, taking good care of employees, fair benefits. and giving you opportunity to take care of customers and really grow. they have some good benefits, It has a open sourcing policy that lets you get pretty much anything a customer would need. I am sure those things will.

Cons

they will hire anyone, lacking parts knowledge. This causes issues, they force you to over work your self to just get a head, if you over stress.. too bad thats your fault. ZERO SUPPORT FOR STORES from day go, you are on your own, a corp of this size and power, should treat its people better. they never know what the others are doing, raises are very bad even if you excel at your job. I could go on and on. Simply put, Its a bunch of Bureaucrats playing auto parts. No one with real experience or knowledge is promoted to a management level that is of any use.

Pros

In the past there was a company culture and identity. Not anymore.

Cons

Whatever happened to the slogan "People are our best part?" Company very discriminatory toward women. What's worse, I had one of the highest customer satisfaction rates, highest sales rates, and on my own I took auto tech classes with my money, all because I wanted to be better at the job and hoped to be promoted. This company is a total lost cause. Upper management needs immediate removal and replacement by people with serious and in-depth automotive industry experience. Not just "retail experience." Not Best Buy, not Blockbuster, not Circuit City... not Target. As for human resources, if you knowingly refuse to respond to calls, get a new job. I am sick and tired of the PR bull from these people. They are well aware of significant problems, but they just put a nice veneer on it and sweep it under the rug. Wonder what will happen if the company accepts a leveraged buyout with Blackstone Capital. I won't be around to see. Apparently this company values minimum or close to minimum wage pay grades versus loyalty, parts knowledge, and human dignity and compassion. I hope they get whats coming to them, and fast. I have no sympathy for these people. On a side note, I know of two long time employees, one of whom was with the company 17 years, one of whom was with them for 10, who were terminated prior to their expected retirement. That is sickening. Especially considering one of them was a Master ASE.

Pros

Store management very good. Both ASE certified and know how to run a store. Most co- workers are easy to get along with.

Cons

Worst computer system I have ever seen in 20 plus years in this field. stocking hard parts ie pads, rotors , chassis come in once a week and are palated and in totes in no particular order. We cant sell what we dont have. To top it off, parts are not even checked in. How can you trust that the whole order is accurate? Worst customer base I have ever dealt with. I cant fix a persons car on the phone. At peak days we can have people lined up waiting, the phone ringing and we have 2 people on the counter, customers walking out because they get tired of waiting, all because the store has only so many labor hours available. The list could go on and on.
