Pros

Not having to drive personal vehicle for parts delivery.

Cons

Advertising inclusion & acceptance, however this is NOT the case. They talk & allow others to talk down to you & belittle you & tell you not to take it personal & to learn to "develop thicker skin". Will also over look co-workers threatening you (it's no big deal, he's all talk), but will write you up for harassment because your empowerment vocabulary can be considered offensive.

Pros

People, both customers and fellow employees are generally nice and smart. Good discount on parts. Automotive training, although the quality of it is questionable.

Cons

Quality of workers not consistent. Some of our stores have terrible employees that don't care about anyone or anything. I feel like I got really lucky with my store. Pay is not worth it. Just be a driver. Drivers make minimum and only drive and shuffle parts around. Counterpeople make maybe $1-2 more on average, anything over $1 more is for those with very skilled and experienced backgrounds. Moving up is very difficult. Nothing to allow training into higher positions, you just have to do the job of the person above you on your own without increase in pay until that person leaves.

Pros

flexible schedule, new corporate location opening in North Hills (Timing TBD). Stay long enough to get that fortune 500 name recognition on your resume.

Cons

Little to no opportunity for advancement. Salary is a joke and yearly pay raises are typically around 1.5% (if you're lucky). Rarely do they pay out bonuses, and if they do, they typically won't pay out 100%. It is basically a known fact that they underpay and generally expect employees to stay about 2 years before they are over it and find something where the pay scale actually meets the level of work they complete.
