Pros

Healthcare Experience, Nice hardware (Tablets, Laptops, Modern Software)

Cons

Company uses low tier job titles so that they match pay to a title not a job description, managers don't actually care about work/life balance (50+ hour workweeks), no advancement if you're not Adventist, no cost of living increases, deceptive practices from management (misinformation given during chatting over chocolate), understaffed for critical system (information security), one security breach away from a HIPPA disaster, healthcare with no real healthcare insurance, disconnect of C-level from Working employees, not enough bathrooms, punishment for taking time off.

Pros

Loved the area, fellow employees/physicians were fun to work with, great clients/patients

Cons

Evil management, many employees with no experience or with suspended/restricted nursing licenses hired to cut costs. Serious bullying which is encouraged by management. No privacy--my ICU manager ( who has zero management qualifications and has been fired in the past for HIPAA violations, ironically) forwarded emails of employees personal information to fellow staff without permission nor need. Absolutely no incentive to stay--poor pay, no ability to advance. Several, several safety issues with patient care that were covered up by formulated lies placed in employees charts, several well hidden legal issues (performing unnecessary procedures, falsifying employee and patient records, complaints to the joint commission, complaints to several labor boards...etc,etc,etc...). This place will pay off or deceive anybody to keep them quiet, since the hospital relies on donor support.

Pros

Mission Good people (for most part) Great environment Feel like my work makes a difference Learning everyday Feel like my work is appreciated

Cons

Certain rules, expectations don't apply to everyone. The environment/culture changes drastically depending on your director. Company does not have the same "great place to work" feel/attitude as when I first started, which is unfortunate because this is what keeps people here. Pay is well below what other health networks pay their IT employees.
