Pros

There are a few amazing people that work at this organization. And by few I mean five.

Cons

Horrible upper management. No direction. Treated unfairly not only due to not being of Adventist Faith but for also being one of the only non white employees. If you do not kiss some serious butt of upper management - ( plan nacho days , birthday celebrations, or assist with every single social event) you will not be considered a good employee. For two years I had to deal with a certain member of upper management who would walk by my cube every morning without smiling, or even acknowledging my presence. Your work will not be appreciated or considered unless you win " most smiley" . This place needs to realize and appreciate DIVERSITY. Upper management is a joke. If you are involved or affiliated with the church you will have job security. Regardless of your work ethic .

Pros

Great co-workers, upgraded technology (finally).

Cons

Nepotism is the name of the game in Adventist Health. They'll promote you to leadership without any qualifications or experience. The CIO came from a finance background for example. If you're a member of the church, you can expect to be raised to management shortly, stepping on the backs of employees who have worked faithfully for the corporation for years. Once you're in the upper echelon you can do no wrong. When you fail they'll just put you in charge of something else. Rinse repeat. Wages are terrible, and the raises you get are an insult. Thank you for putting in 50-60 hours a week for a year, here's your 2% raise! Spiritual rewards don't pay my rent! Your job description will include nothing you'll actually work on, and the training they provide is pitiful.
