It was a good job. Enjoyed it, my supervisor was very supportive and understanding. Good benefits and hours.

Cons

C level made some poor decisions and in the end we paid for it.

Culture is great. The job isn't great.

Pros

In this role you are provided with the training that will get you up and running. I'm not sure how the process has changed since then but it was helpful. Everyone in the department is super helpful when you run into issues. That was definitely the highlight of the team. The company culture is laid back and everyone is nice.

Cons

In this role you can expect to be on calls most of the day. I put this here as a con because you are expected to handle calls all day while also trying to juggle cases that require your attention away from the phone. This can become worse when you are expected to take on "tasks" that would be better suited for other departments but are handled here instead. The pay is mediocre. For some reason this role is only just starting to be compensated similar to what I have found from other companies. This is really is one of those roles where you are not paid for what you can and actually do. The amount of knowledge and expertise in the day-to-day things you do in this role should have you be compensated better but you're not. Be aware of this.

We are always grateful to hear positive remarks about our culture and awesome employees, so thank you for contributing this feedback. The Support department is an extremely collaborative environment and always willing to lend a hand to ensure their teammates succeed. In the Support department, the primary responsibility is to take customer calls, and at times, the volume can be heavy. Employees in this role work hard but learn a lot about our product and industry! In late 2019 we did some market adjustments to compensation and this is something that we continually monitor. As for your comment on recognition, this has been an area of focus for Advicent based on responses from a recent employee engagement survey. There is always room to do better in recognizing employees and acknowledging their accomplishments and success. Thanks again for your review!

We appreciate the feedback. You are right in that because of our smaller size, we don’t always have very formal structure. However, this can lead to many wonderful opportunities for employees to focus on what they are passionate about and run with it. Advicent encourages employees to get involved in projects outside their day to day responsibilities or participate on committees and cross functional teams. This can allow for so much professional and personal growth to enhance your career at Advicent and beyond!
