Pros

Challenging dynamic work environment and very rewarding. Level of exposure is high with accountability and responsibility clearly defined. Execution is key to success.

Cons

Sporadic and long work hours with potential for frequent travel. Funding is always an issue and can prevent mission accomplishment as originally planned so mission can be a moving target.

Pros

Excellent opportunity to see the inner workings of the premier USAF Air Combat headquarters. Great work environment, with professional people and stable work hours. In some cases, advancement opportunities are available.

Cons

As personnel learn the limitations of zero sum resources available in government organizations, it becomes difficult to find opportunities to improve things without trading a potentially important combat capability.
