Past your Area Manager, Air Methods is a for profit company and a business. They don’t care about clinical concerns, safety, licensure, etc. The only thing they care about is $$$ Low pay.

Standards seem to have been lowered in an effort to attract candidates. In areas with limited candidate pool, it feels like clinical quality suffers as they will hire anybody they can find. Clinical quality seems to vary widely in different regions. New hire orientation has been steadily watered down, and the yearly sim testing has gone from being way too harsh to being way too easy.
