Pros

There is a reason there are only a handful of reviews on this company. We are all too busy working with the biggest clients in the world and obtaining new ones. From the CEO down, there is not a single bad apple within Urban Airship. From Engineering to Sales to HR to Marketing, the teamwork, transparency, innovative technology and overall commitment drive to success is simply incredible. The pay & benefits are solid and the HQ is a truly, unique, terrific place to work.

Cons

If you cannot adapt to change and fast-pace thinking & performing, this is not for you.

Pros

The work life balance is great! I am able to have dinner with my family every night and not feel guilty for leaving the office when I do. I am able to to work from home if need be and that flexibility is so important to me. My boss is by far the best boss I have ever had. He cares about me, he cares about the success of UA and he listens. The health benefits are great. The support for being a working mother is unprecedented. Above all - the company is focused. UA has a clear direction and communication is constantly improving. I believe they will succeed and that's nice coming to work each day know.

Cons

We have some growing pains but that is normal for a company is a hyper growth stage.

Pros

UA is a great place to be as an engineer. Management and HR truly care about your job satisfaction and retaining our great people. The Portland offices are very nice and have all the fun stuff (ping pong, foosball, kegs, video games, etc.). The benefits are pretty good. The hours for some teams are pretty routinely 9-5, unless your team has a heavier on-call burden. I had high expectations coming here, and by and large they've been met or exceeded. We're spoiled in this industry!

Cons

Some engineering teams have heavier on-call burdens.
