      Pros

      1) The actual engineers are super helpful and knowledgeable 2) Get to know what actually goes on in a startup apart from technology

      Cons

      1) Micro Management by higher ups 2) A lot of "Yes Sir!" in the company. That is to say people tend to flatter their higher ups to be in their good graces. 3) CEO has an anger issue. He openly made fun and mocked higher up managers which then trickled down all the way to engineers 4) Long hours. Meetings past midnight. 5) No professionalism in the name of you're working at a startup.

      Fun for leadership, not so much for others

      Pros

      Being a leader at Aisera is fun. You get to exploit employees in the name of startup culture, set unrealistic expectations, and treat them the way nobody wants to be treated. Come join us as a leader and make others work on weekends. On weekdays you will get to call them to join meetings after office hours. Trust me you haven’t experienced joy until you make your employees labor on Labor Day or when they are on PTO or sick.

      There are only 7 days in a week. This would be great if we had more work days in a year.

      5 years later and still don't know how to work

      - interesting topic - product that apparently has some business value

      Cons

      - after 5 years they started experimenting with project management styles - PMs, however, are not anywhere in the picture - miscommunications all over the place with a side effect of throwing away projects or redoing a lot of stuff - CEO is a bully which cascades down to everyone in leadership team
