Pros

there are no pros for this company

Cons

Leadership are unsympathetic and closed minded. Startups you will work a lot which is granted but this is beyond that. They work you long hours 6 or 7 days a week, promote a culture of giving updates late at night to show you are working, no acknowledgment, or giving time to uncompress. 15 days of PTO combined with medical leave is lowest in industry and they ask you to justify taking time off even when you earned it. Leadership frequently calls out engineers in public forums for being slow and blame them for schedule slips. stuck in the past using email chains for everything. no process, little documentation that is kept up to date other than very high level. They still will call you on your time off and expect you to work. monolithic antiquated programming practices rule here. No CI/CD. only giant complex releases that are delayed weeks or months. They want locals and remote folks to come to the office every week even though its largely empty and unnecessary. This company is the same people in 4th iteration. they just can't grow this way. Any new engineers they hire quickly leave once they find out what its really like there. Warning they straight out lie in interview process offering all sort of benefits that don't exist. This is pandemonium.

Pros

If you like bragging to your friends about how you eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at your desk, have impromptu meetings at 11 at night, and get paid next to nothing for it, then I guess you can consider it a pro. Some of the people are kind and genuinely interested in helping each other and the company succeed, however that mentality is quickly snuffed out by the long hours, random BS projects that never go anywhere, unreasonable demands, and constant belittling from the CEO.

Cons

Nearly too many to list. - Poor management (especially from most of the exec team). - The CEO. - Pay is low and completely up to the discretion of the CEO, which in and of itself is a joke. - No real career opportunities. - You are on call 24/7/365. If it wasn't illegal, there would be no holidays at this company. Vacation? Forget it. - High employee turnover. The good ones leave. A real "market for lemons" situation. - All the 5 star reviews you read are a lie. Or the reviewer is forced to write a positive review or benefiting from it in some way. - You know the above point is true since someone from the company periodically comments that the 1 star reviews on Glassdoor are all lies. - The CEO (yes, I know I said it twice). - Limited resources is a generous statement. No resources is closer to the truth. - No sense of company culture aside from "do whatever the CEO says". - Other than these, GREAT place to work (sarcasm, duh).

Pros

The healthcare was pretty good except for the dental coverage

Cons

I would have demanding deadlines, which resulted in 17+ hour days with the expectation to work on weekends. I would spend hours on non-stimulating activities with lots of autocratic work as the product is still in an MVP phase and not production-ready. There is no ability to disagree with the CEO; he is always right. There was a regular public shaming of people directly in company meetings from the CEO. I could not leverage my experience or provide input. Management told me to shut up and follow orders because they couldn't convince the CEO otherwise.
