      No distinct roles - too many directors

      It's a cool industry to work on ML You can change your contract to remote Looks like the sales are going well and company does more hirings

      Cons

      Directors pretend to be project managers and technical leads pretend to be product owners which results to no actual work from their side and constant conflicts of interest and scope Trying to find information feels like playing the game of hot potato because everyone redirects you to someone else Communication alone can be a very good reason to leave since there is no transparency of projects and work being done which results to reinventing the wheel and redo things which have been done It s a very sad and toxic work environment

      If I had to list any pros, there would be none.

      Cons

      The work environment is incredibly toxic stemming from leadership/management. Any middle-managers and below are subjugated to becoming "Yes" men that only suck up to the higher executive team. Everyone is intimidated because they will get called out during a meeting, asked to work over night/the weekend if something is not turnover in less than 24 hours by their demands. Higher executives are verbally abusive and will insult you if you try to express your opinion.

      There are some nice people it's an interesting new industry which is booming right now

      Cons

      I have been in situations where CEO, who has sales background, indicates how an engineer should do his job in a technical level... I have been in discussions with the CTO where he totally disapproves any state of the art AI technology ie deep neural networks I have been in meetings where leaders who were assigned as project managers call employees to come back from their agreed upon vacations I have heard C-level people to insinuate publicly that they want to track the work of the employees because during remote work they didn't trust them..
