Pros

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of Alaska Airlines. As I approach my three‑month mark, I can confidently say it’s been a truly wonderful experience so far. From the onboarding process to ramping up in my role, every step has been thoughtful, supportive, and seamless. I genuinely appreciate how well Alaska takes care of its employees—it makes all the difference.

Cons

This isn’t really a con, but if you’re new to the airline industry, there’s definitely a lot to learn—especially when it comes to the acronyms and industry‑specific terminology. It can feel overwhelming at first, simply because everything is so new. That said, the team has been incredibly supportive, patient, and always willing to help, which makes the learning curve much more manageable.

Pros

Great company culture and the energy is positive. The customers love Alaska Airlines, so most incoming calls were very pleasant.

Cons

The company has an expectation of one-call resolution in 8 minutes or less. Not every call was the same and some calls took much longer, such as rebooking a group of 10 (all with separate tickets) due to weather cancellations across the country. I think the expectation was too rigid.

Pros

Alaska Airlines truly cares about its employees and treats them with respect. The company culture is positive, inclusive, and team oriented. Management encourages professionalism, growth, and open communication. Training is well structured, and safety and customer service are always a top priority. The work environment makes you feel proud to represent the brand, and coworkers are generally supportive and helpful.

Cons

The job can be physically demanding and fast-paced, especially during peak travel times. Scheduling flexibility can sometimes be limited, and part-time hours may fluctuate depending on operational needs.
