Don't ever think about it. Avoid at all cost!

Pros

- Cool, upbeat coworkers who actually care about the job and are just here to get paid and live (though some are already institutionalized..can't blame them though). - Super close to the train and a bunch of lunch spots.

Cons

- I figured the bad reviews were just salty one-offs… then I showed up and went “ohhh, now I get it.” LOL - Seriously, don’t bother if you like your weekends, your evenings, or your sanity, keep scrolling for a better gig.

Good Colleagues, But Mismanagement

Pros

The only good thing here is colleague. They’re great teammates. Working with supportive and friendly colleagues is the only reason I’ve managed to stay as long as I did.

Cons

Management Management is the worst part of this company. Before joining, they promised there would be no weekend support and that yearly increments . However, once you join, you quickly realize that these promises are empty none of them are true. They always make big promises but never deliver. Project You’ll be assigned to either the MY project or the SG project. You’ll be based in Malaysia (MY), but the client is in Singapore (SG). There are two teams MY and SG and the SG team always assumes the MY team isn’t doing anything. They take credit because they’re on-site with the client, while the MY team constantly gets blamed. Recently, the SG management decided that the entire MY team must work on the client site full-time, and they only informed us one day before via email sent on a Sunday, expecting everyone to show up Monday morning. And there’s no transportation claim for MY staff working on SG projects. Project Managers The Project Managers here are some of the worst I’ve ever worked with. They have no management skills and no clear understanding of how to lead or organize a project. Boss / Team Lead The Team Lead is extremely unreasonable. Whenever there’s an issue, he’s quick to blame others instead of solving the problem. You’ll be forced to admit mistakes even when you’re not at fault. He often forces people to work overnight and on weekends. For example, he might ask you on a Friday evening to work through the weekend. It’s frustrating and disrespectful of your time. He will call you at night and weekend to ask you to work. Increment Getting a salary increment here is a nightmare. Before joining, they’ll promise a yearly increment, but in reality, there’s no increment at all unless you keep chasing HR for months. Even after review meetings, there’s often no result. When you ask, they’ll say “the company isn’t doing well” but somehow, some people still get increments. But when you resign, suddenly they’re able to offer you a counteroffer or increment to make you stay. Bonus Bonus allocation is not transparent. Some employees receive bonuses while others don’t, even when working on the same project. For example, this year the SG teams received bonuses, while the MY teams did not. Resignation Process When you resign, they’ll try hard to convince you to stay. You’ll receive calls from multiple people even senior management like the CCO. They’ll make promises and counteroffers. They also won’t allow you to use your remaining annual leave before your last day, which feels unfair.

Pros

Brandings are cool, part of AKQA good for CV and portfolio

Cons

where should i start? shouting match between founders and c-level that could be heard from level 2 - they were shouting inside a closed meeting room in level 1, imagine how loud it was. There's a joke running around of who's going to cry today. All of these will be brushed off by management team and HR team because this is the norm in the industry. Funny thing is that I have been working in the industry for 15 years but never experienced it this severe.
