One of the best places I have ever worked

Pros

As some people have mentioned already, there are company benefits that are very nice to have (free lunches, free parking, great desks, and great HR initiatives like celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and a happy hour each month). Besides those and other perks like referral bonuses and unlimited time off, the best part for me is that my team is made up of really great people and my boss is good too. Ultimately, it is who we work with and for that affects our day-to-day happiness in the work place. Fortunately, I can count on my peers to work well together and get the job done collaboratively, and on my boss to have my back.

Cons

Other people may not have the same experience as mine mentioned above, depending upon the challenges and the people they work with. That said, I have referred several people eager to work at Alkami and one was hired, with another pending. So far, the person who was hired is happy to be here too.

Fantastic is an understatement when it comes to describing everything Alkami is and strives to be. When I was on the job search, I knew that Alkami was at the top of my list for places to work in the DFW area, and I had to somehow get my foot in the door. Luckily for me, there was an opening that suited my skills extremely well, and I jumped at the opportunity to come in and interview. The interview process was flawless, and I saw the enormous possibilities that Alkami offered. Everyone I met with was welcoming, and showed me what it really meant to be an Alkamist. Just walking around the facility, employees would smile and say Hi, and there was a sense of excitability for work that is being done. Alkami is a family first environment, and employees are encouraged to take time off to enjoy whatever it is they want to do. Toxic and cliquish enviroment, current theme is to manage by fear, horrible management staff, very few leaders in the company, no processes, basic product. There's no trust amongst employees, teams are overworked with little to no appreciation. There is no opportunity for remote employees to grow and new employees are set up to fail from the day they walk in the door. There is absolutely no training and new hires are expected to dig through hundreds of Jira tickets to figure out how to do their job. Management staff are a bunch of micro-managers that are clueless about how to lead their teams and are NOT trustworthy.
