Pay & Bonuses Work from Home Flexibility

Cons

People are expendable at Alliant Energy, the company uses "restructuring" to get rid of people they no longer want in the organization and then blames it on economic factors. People just seem to disappear with no mention of their departure. Expect to reorg every 6 months, and don't expect to make sense of the changes. The leadership has little regard for the latent effects of their actions.

There hiring process was a great experience but shortly there after a complete and utter nightmare.

Cons

Read the negative reviews carefully, they truly are representative of most aspects of the company. There are a few managers that are outstanding but most are mediocre or simply abysmal. Most employees are in survival mode. I would caution anyone looking at this company to steer clear.

Plenty of open spaces at the HQ. Cubicals are replaced by hotel cubicals

Cons

I joined from another utility on the eastern part of the state. What is this place? It is in the dark ages. I feel like I am in a horror film related to Office Space. This place makes my old company look like a sprinter. This place is rotten to the core. The management team from the top to the manager levels are worthless. Where do they find these people. Even the janitor at my old company can do better than the VPs here. The VPs are unethical and lack all integrity. Rotten rotten rotten!
