I have worked here for more than 1 year now and I wonder to myself frequently why this place is soooo messed up. I have come to the conclusion is that it is all the rotten management that exists here. The rotten management extends down to the manager level and up to the CEO. It is like apples with worms in them. The management team is pretty much worthless. There is no talent. Rather they are political children running a regulated monopoly. They lie, cheat, act childish, be unethical.......it is basically a joke of a place.

3-5 years ago it was a wonderful place to work. Lots of people who had been here their whole career. Technical company that valued knowledgeable employees. It's not that way anymore. After a reorg 6 months ago we are told to "suck it up and like it" - yes, that's a real quote.

Cons

Directors and above are either inept with no real ideas of their own, solely focused on shareholder profits, or trying to save their own skin by keeping their head down. The company is in crisis and each employee is feeling the weight of that in some way.

Pros

Working at Alliant makes bowel cleansing smell and look good by comparison.

Cons

The place is more political than Brandon on Super Tuesday. It’s also hard to smell your own excrement while being immersed in the dung pile known as Alliant. I don’t like that because my output normally smells like roses and it gets drowned out. Alliant prides itself on diversity which is good. The organization is a veritable melting pot of intestinal sludge.
