Pros

Benefits were good. Severance was very good before its policy changed later in the year to be half of what it was. Year-end company party. I hear remote-office is popular.

Cons

The onboarding process was horrible, suggesting the state of internal organization. Sales of business units and subsequent layoffs were done along cost-center lines without regard to employee value to related business units. A lot of top talent with years of product knowledge were lost this way. Anti-office sentiment - unless you worked downtown or remote, the bare minimum of accommodation was provided at the satellite offices, affording the grimmest of work environments. Desktops were being replaced with small laptops - not always a good move for knowledge workers.

Pros

Salary (must negotiate for good starting salary), can occasionally work from home, it used to be a short commute (15 minutes) but moved to a new building so commute is now 30 minutes, flexible working hours

Cons

Work environment is cold (physically), deadlines are set by management before knowing the scope of work, a lot of little BS corporate things to chop up your day, developers are in an oncall rotation on weekends for L3 support
