Pros

Minimum wage job with $35 bonus "potential".

Cons

"Welcome to the jungle, It gets worse here everyday. Ya learn ta live like an animal, In the jungle where they play...." One of the first things your manager will tell you about working at Alorica is, "Never leave any personal belongings on your desk/workstation because it will be stolen." This is the culture that has been established, and management makes no apology for - therefor it persists. What does that tell you about the complete lack of Leadership at Alorica? You will spend the first few weeks in the "'Training room" where you will first be introduced to filthy computers, dirty and dusty keyboards and 'mice' that you will be terrified to use. Your chair will be dusty, dirty, laden with stains, and likely broken. The entire call center environment is filthy; literally dirty. There were cockroaches crawling on the toilet paper holders in the men's bathroom. The computers, chairs, desks and other equipment is filthy also. When you walk from the reception area into the call center you will smell something akin to "dirty socks". The break room is a disaster; there are never any paper towel rolls in the single dispenser located in the only break room (that serves several hundred employees), no napkins, no plastic forks/spoons. Forget paper plates; there is nothing . When you are introduced to your final work area, you will be told to "go find a chair" if there is not one at your assigned desk. Tomorrow someone else will return the favor by taking your chair - and this will be the norm going forward. Each day you will be subjected to "music" played loudly, by your supervisor from a set of cheap computer speakers, propped up at the top of a cubicle wall, at the back of the room. The closer you are to those speakers, the more often you will have to explain to your customer (on the phone) that this is not someone screaming within the call center, this is Rap Music being played by your manager. That is unless, it actually IS one of the "Managers" barking out orders to "Get off the phones, or get on the phones", or announcing that someone has just made a sale. There are times when the call center is so noisy that you will apologize to your client, asking them to repeat their last comments, again and again, until you can hear them. Sometimes it will be a relief when they simply decide to hang up on you in response to this jungle like environment that they perceive you are calling them from.

Pros

Helping those in need get their foot in the door to employment.

Cons

I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy. The work environment is toxic and extremely unprofessional. You will be severely micromanaged and forced to hire based on quantity NOT quality. This company has unrealistic expectations, multiple reports that track your every move, and senseless conference calls. No one at the Greenville site is happy with their position. If you’re a positive person with progressive ideas, stay away from this place because it will suck the life out of you. If you choose to take a position here negotiate for the highest salary possible because you will not receive any pay increases (merit or cost of living) you will not have an opportunity to earn a bonus. The health, dental, and vision benefits are costly.

Pros

Nothing, unless your unskilled and lazy and can't get a better job.

Cons

Where do I start.. Trainer won't do crap even when you have complained several times about all of the ghetto, or racist people your in training with. Her boss Crystal, won't either, and when you go back there you see the same people who should have been fired still working there! This place is a joke! They hire scum.. made a HUGE mistake going to work there, couldn't even finish training class because of it. Yuck!
