Pros

Good co-workers, and it was a job

Cons

A tech support company that didn't do tech support, we worked with really really out dated and old equipment. We were troubleshooting for Costco members brand new computers and TV with computers that were almost 15 years old and had constant technical difficulties ourselves.Extreme micro managing to the point you need to ask permission to use the restroom, and give a valid reason as to why! Then you must clock out for that, and then it gets held against you with their attendance policy, they told us several times "Alorica is not going to pay you to go to the bathroom". Lunches which were only 45 mins constantly reduced to 30 mins. They require every employee to meet a 95% attendance policy meaning if you're sick or late 1 day a month your pretty screwed and will get written up regardless if you have a doctor's note or valid reason. There is Sheriff/Police presence constantly there because they will hire just about anyone, those are the consequences, when you hire just about anyone. You get very little pay. I know people who have been there for years and only make $10.00 hourly because that is what you will cap out at as in there are no raises ever. There are constant policy changes from corporate that leave the environment feeling aggressive and hostile worst is management is so used to it that when you ask them questions you get treated poorly because you have questions. I have never felt more like a number in my life. You constantly feel like you will be getting fired because someone doesn't like you that day the retention rate is pretty extreme. HR is a joke, as they are never available to the staff it's supposed to resource so if you have questions good luck. The health insurance wasn't even called health insurance and didn't cover prescriptions. As i mentioned in my title it was a job.

Pros

Good customer service experience. Decent training on the systems.

Cons

Not very employee friendly. The Citiplex location was the best of the bunch and even it was not a friendly or comfortable place to be. You never felt like management had your back. and moral was horrible. And not enough training regarding product knowledge.

Pros

An opportunity to sharpen skills and develop new ones.

Cons

Management runs new employees through the mill with absolutely no job security and low pay in comparison to other call center/customer service companies. After one year of working for Alorica 'only two or three remained of an initial training group of over 30. Company creates and uses fear of losing job as motivation rather than positive example, inspiration and rewards.
