Pros

The team leader I'm with has been very patient and works well with my schedule, Alorica makes sure to ask their employees about changes and opinions, the work itself isn't difficult to memorize and the company does give you many opportunities to grow and work with them!

Cons

Personally I don't think there's much cons, or at least nothing that reflects the company's decisions!

Pros

I spent many years at Alorica. I started as an entry-level sales rep on the phones and worked my way up to a position below one of our VPs. I took advantage of every opportunity I saw possible, and I found a lot of reasons to remain passionate, despite the looming negatives. Alorica, simply put, is a third party company so it's desperately required at all times to push revenue higher and expenses lower. This environment breeds chances for employees to move up into higher positions than possible if applying externally due to the lower cost of promoting internally. There were a lot of dramatically positive branding and messaging (sometimes I'd call it propaganda to hide their excessive demands), but I still appreciated how much I could relate to their mission and vision at a foundational level. I learned a lot, but mostly how to diminish my personal life and obligations and throw myself into an overwhelming and frustrating career. I started at minimum wage and I left making 75K a year. For this, I can say there were obviously pros - however the cost to me personally far outweighed my salary.

Cons

You will always be demanded to do more at work and be at work longer. The only positive outcome of the toxic environments and dealing with the people who take advantage of the system to exert harassment on a daily basis is that you will most likely walk away with a settlement or two in the coming years. In my years at Alorica, I received at least three settlements I can remember. People seem to shed their kind and genuine skins to live comfortably as bullies and tyrants. And it's not just the call centers. In fact, I had better experiences dealing with the high-school environment on the floor than I did being belittled and discriminated by the corporate level employees. The stories I heard about some of the VPs and even the CEO on their business trips would not be appropriate to share on a site like this.

Pros

If they still do the monthly bonuses, I would say that and the promotion potential would be the only reasons I would encourage anyone to work in Alorica. If you keep your satisfaction percentages high, you can accumulate a lot of cash quickly.

Cons

Super stressful. Depending on what kind of call center you service for them, naturally customers can be horrendous. Corporate isn't very transparent. One incident in particular involved their systems being hacked for allegedly not paying someone their last check, which prompted us being herded to be informed that termination was on the table for speaking about the situation, we wouldn't get paid for the day we were locked out of the building due to the hacking, and that we may not get paid for (a week's worth of) overtime hours already worked. As a result of the backlash, we got pizza. Got to the point where I had to force myself to walk inside the building each morning.
