Extremely toxic and political work environment solely due to bad leadership from upper management. Upper management is uninspiring and lacks leadership skills. Upper management is completely disconnected from staff and doesn't comprehend that all the employees are miserable and do not support values and leadership tactics. Employee feedback is not taken seriously. Agendas for meetings are already predetermined the conversation will be steam rolled to silence feedback or questions. Upper management blames and deflects issues on employees instead of figuring out the root of the problems. Upper management is incredibly inappropriate and divulges sensitive information to other employees and makes rude comments behind employees backs. More than 50% of their employees are looking for new jobs. Morale is so low and upper management has no plans to repair the damage. There is absolutely no employee investment and only a select few, who do not question anything, get positive feedback. You get a target on your back the moment you ask questions or disagree with upper management. The expectation is to blindly follow orders if you want to be on their good side. The pay is not great. Employees with less experience and education get paid more, there is no standard to the pay. If you inquire about more money, upper management will claim you are being entitled and you will get written up.

You will work your as off doing hard labor and be treated like absolute garbage for it. If your contracted they will in fact just throw you out like trash. I broke my finger on a steel door in the vivarium and that door never got fixed and several other doors shared similar issues. They don't care for animal welfare, every single room in that vivarium has black mold and they ignore the issue often caulking over the mold. They hide medical scares from front line workers so they don't even know what's going on and yell at them when they do something wrong. Oh and don't come in if your sick but we don't care if you bring in a doctor's note we will fire you anyway :)
