The money. For some it's great; no need to own anything, you'll get moved in less than two years and can then claim ignorance.

Cons

Departments function as silos; any cross functional attempts are discouraged, squashed, result in reprimands. No work life balance. Obnoxious managers Antiquated technology Lack of leadership "Big Company" mentality (we're the biggest, so we dictate) Competitive (aka backstabbing) environment

-Competitive Pay -Good Benefits -Profit Sharing & 401K -Company Car -Great Company Culture on Paper

Cons

-No opportunity for growth if you are not willing to relocate -Base level management is made-up of many young, recent college graduates with very limited real-world work experience -Lack of objective performance analysis. It was very subjective and the same rules didn't apply to all -Archaic IT systems and IT support

Somewhat relaxed work environment. Generous vacation and holiday policies.

Cons

The company only sees future leadership potential in the engineeers. There are multiple programs for entry level engineers through senior level. Almost every divisional leader currently in position has been drafted from the engineering ranks. Any other discipline is seen as just support functions. Smoking is allowed everywhere!
