My experience joining Amazon

Pros

- Quick response speed after I submitted my applications with clear information about next steps - Interview process like no other company, while the interviews were long the interviewers were kind, unbiased and carefully listened to me - About a month before I started I had a call from my manager who wanted to introduce herself and set my mind at ease about expectations in the role I was joining - A clear onboarding plan was created for me to help me keep up to date with my learning Overall my experience joining Amazon was amazing! Communication was clear and helpful to prepare me for joining and then learning my role. People both within and outside my team have all been so kind and friendly which has made the experience a really positive one.

Cons

Each team member is assigned certain areas that become their area of expertise for which they become the point of contact. Unfortunately my team is still waiting to hear what each of ours will be which is delaying my hands on work a little. I still have lots to learn but this would be useful to receive slightly more promptly.
