I have recently been hired by AWS and have been on board for several months now. I have never worked for an organization that takes their onboarding so serious and actually provides the support and resources for their new hires to be set up with success. The teams are welcoming and inclusive. They want to help and see you be successful.

Customer obsession and working backwards is at the heart of how innovation happens at Amazon/AWS. There is a lot of tolerance to try out new things and it is ok to find later that similar stuff exists with other departments in Amazon.

Cons

Processes and RACI are difficult to establish. Bias for action often trumps the need for discipline/structure.
