Pros

- There are many talented individuals working here that you can learn from - The work you do is bigger yhan yourself. It saves the lives of people which I think is meaningful.

Cons

- Pay is way below average for most roles. - Bad retention: there is literally someone leaving every week and the culture hasn’t changed. - Mid and Senior Management are incompetent. Many of them are forced into these roles and do not know how to manage. - A lot of problems start from the top. Michael Cartwright is a very reactive CEO that tries to be hands on with things he is not the best at instead of trusting his employees. - All the different offices that were acquired are always competing for dominance. Cooperation is hard to establish when egos are put first.

HR - Training Staff Run Away

Pros

Building relationships in HR and Training despite the volatile and aggressive culture.

Cons

Horrible and unethical company, currently being investigated for unethical sales and business practices and consistently receives harassment complaints from across the org. This company has zero culture in safety and ethics, and has a culture of only driving up "heads in the bed". Training and Development department falls under HR. One highly ranking “Leader” in HR has no credentials or experience and manages through fear and intimidation. This person uses a fierce coaching out style and zero interpersonal or coaching skills to professionally provide constructive feedback. This leader in HR has had sexual harassment, bullying, and creating hostile work environment complaints filed but Sr. Executives, Compliance, and Legal seem to brush it under the rug. Turnover rates are high in HR and Training are high and the top HR leader fiercely uses a coach up and coach out tactic, if deemed incompetent or you are not a yes man. Rather than have dignity and respect to coach and develop, the top ranked HR bully, makes the team member's life unbearable, often insulting and cussing at you or the team in meetings, strategically setting up unachievable expectations so that you can fail and he can write you up, fire you or until you quit. Caution, beware: The request and demand to use other company's proprietary Training and HR material is requested by top leaders in HR, in order to repurpose and disguise AACs. Most disheartening is compliance and legal do not believe this to be copyright infringements. This person has no concept of design guidelines and timelines and will set very aggressive and unreasonable deadlines for projects which cannot be met unless you work unbelievable hours (60-80 per week). There is no work-life balance and you are made to work until dark irregardless if you have a spouse or children. With the only experience in developing manuals and no desire to move to a blended facilitator-led / eLearning combo, he still makes it a point to consistently insult and break down his teams psychologically, so he can feel superior to make up for the deficiency in advanced learning, certifications or experiences that his peers possess. With a masters in micromanagement and Ph.D. in absolute aggression, abuse and domination, I can only hope for the safety of anyone who works on the HR and Training Teams.

Pros

Having the ability to help people and change lives.

Cons

Very unstable working environment currently. No given metrics, after taking away commission to the entire sales staff and taking a 50% pay cut- we are expected to trust management after they have not given anyone straight answers about how we are going to be paid. Relying on a quarterly company bonus that may or may not be paid is very unsettling. Very high turn over rate with managers and treatment consultants. The Company is highering more upper management in high paying positions and cutting the people that make the company successful pay, really not the best business plan. Now they are in line with corporate America as a publicly traded company who only cares about the bottom line.
