Pros
They offer you a company car, expense account and benefits are pretty decent with the employer picking up a significant amount of the costs.
Cons
This is a sales organization, do not let them fool you. Upper management for the most part is non-existent and the company operates on a knee-jerk reaction. Like others have mentioned there is a good old boys network and while they are looking to promote more women in roles. While you are given a car, this simply means you are going to be told where to go and when. Even if it is a holiday weekend, you will most likely be leaving on a Sunday and not returning till Friday night. On average, you will be driving around 3 hours to a location to enroll employees. As someone starting with the company, you will be given the bottom of the barrel with enrollments but still need to meet goals that are completely unreasonable. You also will need to manage policy lapses within the first 13 months of the policy being "active" not written. If you are a top producer for this pyramid scheme business, management will turn a blind eye to policies that every employee must adhere to. Management is truly inactive with supporting new hired employees, when you need help the most, they will tell you to contact home office to get assistance. Training is a joke. There is no training available for the software platforms and tools you are required to use. The only training you will get is training based around the policies offered by the company. Management is a very micro management style and most of the upper management has zero sales background but rather tell you to reach out to successful account managers who rarely have time to talk. If they do, it is so generic that it leaves you still on an island. I hope you have a hat rack because you will be forced to do everything for the client just to keep them happy. Everything is pushed back to the account manager and when groups get upset, management is quick to point fingers at you rather than take accountability for their own short comings. It's a toxic sales environment, where co-workers are quick to throw you under the bus to make them look like a team player.
