Pros

They seem enthusiastic upon first look... This is only to get you to think you'll make a lot. You won't, btw.

Cons

Look at my title... This dishonest behavior is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how this company operates. This is not a job, it's a total SCAM! They "hired" me during a cattle call and I paid for insurance training right there... Then they wouldn't call me back so I could access what I'd pay for... What they DID do is continue to call me in for "interviews".... Do not give them a dollar! NO reputable company would make you pay money to start a job.

Pros

The office is a very relaxed environment and the other agents and managers are very friendly.

Cons

Be prepared to work very long hours. Everything is commission so you only make money if you sell policies. Lots of cold calling and you have to go to peoples homes to discuss insurance with them which was pretty uncomfortable. We got our leads by "baiting" people with free child safety kits. When they would fill out the forms we would stop by their homes and try to convince them to buy insurance.

Pros

Great people, wonderful leadership. I always felt inspired when I was there. There is definitely room for growth especially if you're sales oriented.

Cons

Misleading interview, you have to invest money to begin and then don't make any money for 2 months easily. Have money set aside before committing. You'll need 200-300 just to pass all your exams and then hopefully you have a way to support yourself as it takes an average of 2-3 weeks just to get done with the training. And all the training is in the morning so you can't have a normal job in the meanwhile. Then once you get licensed, you have to be under a managers wing and they're supposed to show you the ropes and get you sales. This job is so time consuming, don't be surprised if you leave your house at 8 AM and come home at 10 PM sometimes. You'll be training for close to a month and be at there mercy of your manager and how much he or she wants to work and sign business in your name.
