Pros

Fast-paced environment, weekly pay, bonus structure can be lucrative if you have a good week/month

Cons

Managers do not care for anyone but themselves. Cliques are formed between the management teams, who play favorites based on people's sales numbers. Hiring is determined by looks. Cold leads provided are recycled, managers don't care if you call the same person 6 times a day or 10 times a day, only care about you booking 8-10 appointments every other day. Expect 150-250 cold calls 3x a week. Money was decent, until you find out 65% of clients cancel the policy and you are charged back money. Clients are also over two hours away by car from office, will be living in your vehicle. Learned a lot but wouldn't recommend to anyone

Pros

You determine how much you work No cap on how much you can earn, can possibly earn really good money in short time frame Very supportive and inspiring management Lots of growth and advancement potential Can be very enjoyable getting to meet to talk with people and help families You're given leads for your work Can write off mileage on taxes You'll learn a lot about selling

Cons

Can be hard to feel as though you're not baiting and switching- leads are from people who requested free kits or benefits from the company, not insurance, but your job is to sell it to them. And you'll be encouraged to push them into buying You will likely go a long period of time without making money Cost of getting licensed takes a while and comes out of your pocket, no reimbursement No base pay without sales No reimbursement for driving and mileage Often have ot work extensive hours beyond 40 in order to be successful and make a good amount Insurance offered is reliable but not the best, people will often want to shop since they haven't heard of AIL Types of insurance offered is limited If someone cancels a policy that amount you were paid for it is taken out of your account, and that is viewed as a normal part of business Taxes aren't taken out of checks, you pay that on your own

Thank you for your insightful feedback regarding your time with AIL. We're happy that you enjoyed the positive environment we encourage at AIL but disappointed it wasn't a good career fit for you long-term. The position does require a persistent, sales-minded individual and isn't for everyone. We appreciate your contribution to our team's success and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Again, thank you for your feedback as this will help us continue to improve on our agents' path to success.
