      Definitely not for everybody

      Pros

      As a young person you can make a lot of money very quickly if your consistent.

      Cons

      Recourses vary based upon favorability, which can hurt you a lot since it is full commission. Each agency is different, however expect a lot of superficiality and an almost cultish work culture with a lot of back stabbing and politics in order to gain favor and further their own careers.

      They want you to call and harass customers for sales, only commission based

      Pros

      When you are able to help a family out its good and the pay is great. They give the money back if the person becomes terminally ill. Its homebased with lots of monitoring. The hours you can schedule meetings legally are 8am-9pm M-Sunday. Union based work.

      Cons

      They guarantee you leads for sales but most of the leads are disconnected numbers, people who don't want to be contacted or are not interested in the insurance. They will recycle the leads to different agents even if the person wishes to not be contacted. They will withhold leads that are better prospects for their managers. They take union dues out of your check even if you do not wish to be in the union. They claim to have flexible hours but really they want you to work everyday and will contact you everyday to see if your working. They have billing issues for the clients which end up making the clients upset and canceling their insurance. Even if you make a sell it may not be approved by the underwriting company, they have to do a physical if they do not pass you will not get paid.
