Pros

Reviewing claims with providers, patients, and billers Working with the different insurance companies

Cons

The bullying from management. HR protecting management because they were all close and relocated to Texas together. Management allowing the dedicated hard workers to quit because they didn’t want to deal with correcting the issues. I was one of the top reps and I had to walk out because HR, management, and supervisors didn’t care. I never complained about the lack of support. Computer issues were daily and they refused to address them.

Pros

Casual dress is a good one.

Cons

It WAS a nice place to work. BUT greed for the almighty dollar changed all that. They used to actually give bonuses. The 5-10-15-20 year bonuses used to be spectacular but now it's not even worth it. The parties they used to throw were fabulous, now? HA! They offered the crew that moved to Texas $2500 to transfer. A year later that same figure came to $5000. Would the compensate those that moved to Texas and paid out of pocket to do so? Oh no....too cheap. The only thing the company cares about is production and profits. They don't care about the customer or the employee.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your employment at ASH. We always appreciate employee perspectives. As you know, ASH has been in operation for 30 years and grew from a small company of a few people to a staff of more than 1400 employees today, located in offices from California to Indiana to Texas and South Carolina. As we've grown our staff and expanded our locations, it's true that we have had changes to our events and recognition programs. The logistics are not the same as they were back in previous decades. However, in place of some of those old ways of doing business, we feel we have many great programs. For example, we now hold quarterly employee recognition all-staff meetings, where dozens of employees are recognized each quarter by our chief executive team for innovation, teamwork, years of service, and other awards, and receive financial rewards with their recognition. We also have a formal Social Activities Committee, that plans and holds employee events in each office location to celebrate special days like Cinco de Mayo and Halloween. We're proud that ASH receives on-going industry and business recognition for our growth and financial discipline. We were recently recognized for 8th time as one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the U.W., and by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR) as one of San Diego's Best and Brightest in Wellness® for the second year in a row. If you'd like to offer specific suggestions on how we can improve, please reach out to hrhelp@ashn.com
