Pros

Lots of company outings involving alcohol to help you forget the pain of working here.

Cons

Throughout interview process, I asked multiple times for a payscale for the position I was interviewing for. I could never get a straight answer. They would always talk around it. Salary in offer letter includes overtime pay......meaning if I wanted to make the salary that was promised to me, I'd have to work at least 5 hours of overtime every week....work life balance is not important here (even though they try to advertise it as such). And if there was a holiday, you only get 8 hours of holiday pay..so you have to strain yourself the rest of the week to make-up for lost hours. So say goodbye to spending time with family if you work here. Company is more focused on making money and taking more projects than their employees. Work you like a dog. Expect to work outside of your job description without compensating for it. Would rather hire more talent than promote employees. Also, if you look at their corporate leadership, there are 0 women.....not very diverse

We are sorry to hear that you felt this way about your time working with us. It is important that we address some of these opinions to provide more clarity and details. In regards to compensation, our offer letters and employment discussions are all presented very clearly: You are offered a base salary, plus OT. The base salary is listed in your offer letter independently and because you are OT eligible, in addition to listing out your base salary we also include an OT estimate in your overall compensation overview, so you can have an understanding around how much OT you will likely work on average, along with how that shakes out financially. We also list out your annual bonus, along with other factors. Many companies show you a 'total compensation/rewards package' when you are considering working for them to give you a clear picture of how all of the rewards work together. We offer many opportunities throughout the offer process to talk through questions, so we are hopeful that if there is any confusion we are able to walk through this to make sure everyone feels confident and clear before joining our company. Work/life balance is very important to our company, although it can be challenging as a growing company during a time when everyone in the industry is having the same struggles around staffing. That being said, we proudly both promote high-performing staff, as well as continue to hire the best talent in the market externally to grow our organization strategically. We agree and recognize that our executive leadership team needs more female representation. Our department and team leadership is a reflection of the continuation of making sure this is a focal point as we have many female leaders and we are committed to continuing the well-deserved growth and development of all our employees, paying close attention to those that are in underrepresented groups within our field. Change takes time and thought in order to make sure you are taking strategic steps to better your organization and not knee jerk reacting without fully considering multiple angles of suggestions and new policy implementations. We take our employee feedback very seriously and our most recent survey results were the catalyst in building our own employee leadership program with focal points around areas that our employees expressed could use some improvement. We are always looking for ways to better ourselves and appreciate the time and thought our people put into providing feedback for our company.

Pros

It is a widely recognized company. When trying to find a new job, whether it be local or in a different state, most employers will know the name (good or bad). The firm is big enough that it is able to provide various tools and knowledge to help start or grow your career. Also, they are able to offer a wide variety of services, allowing for growth in whichever way you see fitting for your career.

Cons

Compared to industry: below average pay, decent/comparable benefits (they will hype up the 401k match - however it is not as good as they claim, unless you can afford to put the full $19500/yr), below average/outdated policies. This firm is a perfect example of old corporate leadership stuck in their ways. Nothing will ever change, regardless of how the rest of the industry changes to account for the newer working generation.

Pros

There are great opportunities to learn about the discipline of engineering and the fields involved. Also, the “glorious” perks if you care about that, such as free lunches sometimes and parties. The benefits package is also good.

Cons

As “support staff”, I didn’t feel like they really cared about me at all, even after so many years. And it showed after I left and most didn’t even say goodbye. I feel they think anyone is replaceable and have no loyalty to non-technical employees. They piled work on me at barely achievable deadlines at all hours, and blamed me for any misstep they could. I found myself stressed out so much it affected my physical and mental health and my attempts to warn and inform them about it were a joke to them.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, though we are disheartened that you spent over a decade with our company while feeling that you were not cared for during your tenure here. All of our employees, in every discipline and in every level are important and vital to our company's success. We have many employees who have chose to also spend a large part of their career with us, both in technical and non-technical positions, though there are many great opportunities available in the marketplace. The reason that most choose to stay is the care of the company, the family atmosphere, and the personal relationships between colleagues and our leadership team. We are also disappointed to hear that you feel your health concerns were not addressed appropriately. The physical and mental health of our employees is very important to us, which is why we offer a full package of strong benefits, that includes an Employee Assistance Program complete with 3 free therapy sessions, as well as a Wellness Committee focusing on both mental and physical health. We hope that you were able to come to Human Resources about your health concerns so that we could assist you in taking advantage of these offerings to help you during your time of need. We wish you the best in your next endeavor and appreciate your contributions and time you spent working for our company.
