Pros

At least they are honest with you during training about what you are getting into, and they provide amenities to take the edge off the crappiness as much as possible.

Cons

1. You can't have a life. Don't ever make plans or buy plane tickets while working here. 2. Customer service reps are just human shields for billing reps and supervisors who take their sweet own time to pull their weight. 3. No time to catch your breath between calls. 4. Mandatory overtime and having to work holidays. 5. You have to sign on as a temp for the first three months, then probationary for another three, meaning it takes six months to become benefit eligible. 6. Their software and databases are slow and frustrating.

Pros

Half decent pay and health insurance. Over time usually available, if you want it or not. Usually mandated. If Pensacola was paid as good as Alton, it would a great place to work with all the cons.

Cons

Most of the management have never managed people. There are non management people working here for years and either don't know what they are doing or short cuts everything. As long as you show up, management doesn't care. If are a "buddy", you can do what you want. If you get on the bad side of your boss, you better make sure you do your job and don't offer them an excuse. Due to the union, it's hard to get fired but they will make you not want to come to work. Upper management will tell you they care while they are in town and forget about the issues when they leave. All they care care about are the numbers.

Pros

Good benefits and excellent compensation

Cons

Changes that are made at the upper management level do not take into consideration the challenges that the front line supervisors and management teams will have to face to implement them. What was once a caring work environment has become hostile.
